It is vital to acknowledge and honor the people and the land of the Arapaho, Sioux, Cheyenne, and Ute nations, their elders both past and present, as well as future generations. Recognizing that House Districts 24 and 27 resides on the unceded land of these nations, as well as actively benefits from the exclusions and erasure of many Indigenous peoples, this acknowledgement demonstrates a challenge and a commitment to working toward dismantling the ongoing oppressive legacies of settler colonialism.
